A rising star in the country music scene, Gary Pratt is making waves with his latest single, "Red Barn," co-written by Nashville veteran Jason Patrick Matthews. This track not only resonates deeply with Pratt's personal history but also serves as a nostalgic journey for listeners. The inspiration behind the song came from memories of his great-grandfather’s farm, where a red barn stood as a symbol of family tradition and rural charm. Collaborating with vocalist Kate Szallar, who shares similar connections through her own experiences, adds an authentic layer to the heartfelt narrative of the piece.

Gary Pratt’s upcoming 11-track album showcases the culmination of over a year and a half of hard work alongside Nashville producer Adam Ernst and engineer Douglas Kasper at Tonic Studios. Born and raised in Slickville, Pennsylvania, Pratt has been immersed in music since childhood. By age ten, he penned his first composition, eventually forming his initial country band at sixteen. Over the years, he has performed extensively both locally and in Nashville, opening for renowned artists like Dwight Yoakam and Crystal Gayle. His previous album, "Something Worth Remembering," garnered significant acclaim, earning him accolades such as Songwriter Of the Year and Emerging Artist of the Year from the International Singer/Songwriter’s Association.

With performances scheduled throughout the spring and summer, fans eagerly anticipate hearing Pratt's new material live. Alongside partner Kate Szallar, they will perform duets at venues including Hillbilly’s in Donegal and the Palace Theatre courtyard in Greensburg. Their full band will grace the stage at Jeannette Food Truck Night. Beyond his musical pursuits, Pratt encourages exploration of other talented Pittsburgh-area musicians, citing Andy Davis, Saddle Up, Ashley Puckett, and Katrina Lynn among his favorites. For those craving a slice of local flavor, Baldy’s in Greenburg remains Pratt’s go-to pizza spot. Music continues to bridge communities, connecting hearts and minds through shared stories and melodies.
