Deftones Unveils 'Private Music' Album and New Single 'My Mind Is a Mountain'

After a five-year hiatus, the acclaimed band Deftones is set to launch their latest musical endeavor, an album titled 'Private Music'. This eagerly awaited release is scheduled for August 22nd under the Reprise and Warner Records labels. To herald its arrival, the group has also unveiled a new track, 'My Mind Is a Mountain', offering fans a glimpse into their evolving soundscape. Raskulinecz is a familiar figure in the band's history, having previously worked on their 2010 album 'Diamond Eyes' and 2012's 'Koi No Yokan', ensuring a continuity of artistic vision and production quality.

To commemorate the album's debut, Deftones plans a launch event in Vancouver on the evening of August 22nd. Following this, they will embark on an extensive tour, with performances slated for numerous cities including Minneapolis, Buffalo, Toronto, Cleveland, Baltimore, St. Louis, Denver, Louisville, and Sacramento. These engagements will encompass both their headlining shows and appearances at various music festivals, where they will be joined by special guests Phantogram and Idles, promising an unforgettable live experience for fans.

The band's last full-length release, 'Ohms', came out in September 2020, featuring popular songs like 'Genesis', 'The Spell of Mathematics', and 'Ceremony'. The tour supporting that album took place in 2021, marking their return to live performances after the global pandemic. The upcoming 'Private Music' promises to build on their rich discography, offering fans new material and another opportunity to experience their dynamic live shows.
