Fever Ray has revealed details about an upcoming live recording. This new album, titled The Year of the Radical Romantics, is scheduled for release on July 25th via Mute. The performances captured on this record stem from Karin Dreijer’s tour in 2023, which celebrated their acclaimed studio album, Radical Romantics. In conjunction with this announcement, a fresh visual accompaniment for the song “Now’s the Only Time I Know (Therapy Session)” has been unveiled. Directed by Martin Falck, this video serves as a continuation of the narrative established in the previous clip for “I’m Not Done (Therapy Session)”.

The live album will feature newly arranged renditions of tracks spanning Fever Ray’s entire discography, encompassing their three studio albums: Radical Romantics, Plunge (2017), and their self-titled debut, Fever Ray (2009). Additionally, Dreijer and Falck have collaborated on a companion zine, which will offer a unique glimpse into the creative process, including initial character sketches from Radical Romantics and behind-the-scenes tour photographs taken by Nina Andersson. The tracklist for The Year of the Radical Romantics comprises 14 songs, beginning with “I’m Not Done (Therapy Session)” and concluding with “If I Had a Heart (Radical Romantics Session)”.

The release of this live album and accompanying video signifies a continued artistic journey for Fever Ray, emphasizing the transformative power of live performance and the evolution of their musical expressions. It offers fans an immersive experience, inviting them to revisit cherished tracks in a new light and connect with the depth and innovation characteristic of Karin Dreijer's artistry.
