A new cinematic venture, a comedy feature titled 'Mess,' is currently in the works, bringing together HRX Films, spearheaded by the renowned Hrithik Roshan, and Prime Video India. This collaboration signifies the second joint project between these entities, following their earlier announcement of the thriller series 'Storm.' Penned and directed by Rajesh A. Krishnan, the film is an adaptation of an original American screenplay by Paul Soter, with Kapil Sawant also contributing to the adapted script. The narrative promises an intriguing blend of humor and mayhem, focusing on an unusual premise that is set to captivate audiences.

The upcoming film 'Mess' centers on a group of thieves who find themselves in an unexpected predicament after breaking into the residence of a man afflicted with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Their planned heist quickly devolves into a desperate struggle for survival throughout a single, chaotic night. This unique storyline, coupled with Krishnan's directorial vision, aims to deliver a fresh and engaging cinematic experience. Hrithik Roshan and his brother Eshaan Roshan are at the helm of production under HRX Films, a division of FilmKraft Productions, alongside Krishnan's Soda Films Lab.

Rajesh A. Krishnan, known for his distinguished career in directing television commercials, has successfully transitioned into feature films and series. His filmography includes the critically acclaimed heist comedy 'Lootcase' (2019), which he co-wrote, co-produced, and directed, as well as the recent 2024 release 'Crew.' He also directed the first season of the popular series 'Tripling' in 2016. Krishnan's diverse experience and proven track record in the comedy genre make him a fitting choice to bring 'Mess' to life, promising an exciting and entertaining narrative.

Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals for Prime Video India, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the film's originality and compelling characters. He praised HRX Films for their creative insight and passion for storytelling, emphasizing that 'Mess' is a natural progression of their partnership after 'Storm.' Madhok anticipates that the film will resonate with audiences both in India and internationally, underscoring its potential to become a beloved comedy.

Hrithik Roshan established HRX Films in 2019, building upon a rich family legacy in filmmaking that includes FilmKraft Productions by Rakesh Roshan and FilmYug by J. Om Prakash. Eshaan Roshan currently serves as the CEO of HRX Films, continuing the family's tradition of cinematic excellence. Hrithik Roshan remarked that 'Storm' was merely the beginning of their fruitful collaboration with Prime Video, and 'Mess' represents a significant next step. He commended Krishnan's unique ability to merge comedy with compelling narratives, noting his extraordinary creative vision for the film.

Rajesh Krishnan shared his positive experience developing 'Mess' with Kapil Sawant, describing the film's world as a thrilling combination of comedy and chaos designed to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. He acknowledged the invaluable contributions of Hrithik and Eshaan Roshan, who have brought their expertise and conviction to the project, assembling what he describes as a dream cast. With production slated to commence shortly, further announcements regarding the cast and additional details are eagerly awaited, promising a dynamic and engaging new release from this collaborative effort.
