The Indian equity market demonstrated a robust resurgence in the second quarter, primarily propelled by a de-escalation of Middle East geopolitical tensions and a subsequent decline in energy prices. This positive shift effectively counteracted the adverse factors that had impacted the market in the preceding quarter, indicating a significant turnaround.

Specifically, the MSCI India Index (net) recorded an impressive 10.07% return. Concurrently, the NDIA fund's net asset value (NAV) grew by 8.25%, reflecting a considerable recovery, although it slightly underperformed its benchmark by 1.82 percentage points. This period saw strong contributions from sectors such as Real Estate, Consumer Staples, and Energy, which played a crucial role in the overall market recovery. Conversely, the Information Technology, Utilities, and Industrials sectors experienced headwinds, detracting from the overall performance.

This market rebound signifies a renewed investor confidence in the Indian economy. The reduction in global uncertainties and a more stable energy market have created a conducive environment for growth. While specific sectors faced challenges, the broader market's resilience highlights India's potential for recovery and sustained economic development.
