The long-anticipated collaborative album from hip-hop icons Nas and DJ Premier is slated for release on December 12. DJ Premier officially announced the date during a recent live performance, energizing fans who have been eagerly awaiting this musical partnership for years. This record will culminate Mass Appeal's prestigious 'Legend Has It...' series, which has showcased projects from revered artists such as Slick Rick, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, and Big L, with De La Soul's 'Cabin In The Sky' also arriving soon.

The journey to this album has been extensive, with the pair teasing its arrival for over a year. Last April, they unveiled their track 'Define My Name,' initially promising a late 2024 release that eventually merged into the 'Legend Has It...' series. Nas recently shared with Rolling Stone that the album would feature creative concepts they had envisioned and discussed for a considerable time, now finally brought to fruition. Both artists have remained active, with Nas contributing to every 'Legend Has It...' album released this year and DJ Premier collaborating with Roc Marciano and Ransom, alongside a tour across the U.K. and Europe with The Alchemist.

This release signifies more than just a new album; it's a testament to enduring collaboration and the realization of long-held artistic visions. The dedication of Nas and DJ Premier to their craft, consistently delivering high-quality music while honoring their legacy, serves as an inspiration. Their commitment to bringing this project to life, despite a lengthy wait, highlights the rewards of perseverance and the power of creative synergy in the music world.
