This event is a cornerstone in recognizing the talents that enrich Hollywood and promote a more inclusive narrative. Scheduled for April 24th at the Beverly Hilton, the ceremony promises to be a celebration of groundbreaking work and cultural impact.

Several distinguished individuals and productions are slated to receive honors. The television series 'The Studio' will be recognized with the Behind the Lens Impact Award, celebrating its Latino creators, including co-creator and writer Frida Perez, actor Keyla Monterroso Mejia, music editor Lorena Perez Batista, and composer Antonio Sanchez. Additionally, Danya Jimenez and Hannah McMechan, the writing duo behind 'KPop Demon Hunters,' will be presented with the Storytelling Impact Award. Belissa Escobedo will be honored for her compelling performance in NBC's 'Happy's Place,' receiving the Outstanding Actress Performance in a Series Impact Award, while writer-director Beth de Araújo will be acknowledged with the Visionary Impact Award for her critically acclaimed film 'Josephine,' which garnered significant attention at the Sundance Film Festival. Comedians Chris Estrada and Frankie Quinones will co-host the evening, guiding attendees through a night dedicated to fostering a more equitable society.

NHMC President and CEO Brenda Victoria Castillo emphasized the enduring influence of Latinos in Hollywood, noting their historical role in shaping its creativity and culture. She expressed pride in this year's honorees, who exemplify the growing impact and cultural recognition of Latino voices in media. The Impact Awards Gala aligns with the NHMC’s broader mission to champion authentic, balanced, and positive representation in media, advocating for increased Latino presence in writing rooms and on film and television sets, while also educating industry leaders on the nuances of Latino culture.

This gathering transcends a mere awards ceremony; it is a powerful affirmation of the vital role diverse voices play in shaping our cultural landscape. By shining a spotlight on these talented individuals, the NHMC not only celebrates their achievements but also inspires future generations to pursue their artistic dreams, ensuring that the rich tapestry of human experience continues to be reflected on screen.
