Prime Video has just released the inaugural teaser for its highly anticipated hockey romance series, “Off Campus,” generating significant buzz. This adaptation of Elle Kennedy's acclaimed book collection promises to deliver a compelling narrative centered around an elite collegiate ice hockey squad and the women entwined in their lives. The series is poised to explore themes of affection, emotional turmoil, and personal growth, as characters navigate the complexities of young adulthood while forging enduring friendships and connections. Following the unexpected popularity of “Heated Rivalry,” “Off Campus” is set to be the next big sensation in streaming sports romances, with a tie-in novel cover also recently unveiled.

The debut season of “Off Campus” will primarily focus on the evolving relationship between Hannah, a reserved songwriter portrayed by Ella Bright, and Garrett, the university's celebrated hockey player, brought to life by Belmont Cameli. The teaser offers tantalizing glimpses into university life, culminating in a particularly heated encounter between Hannah and Garrett within the locker room showers. The ensemble cast includes notable talents such as Mika Abdalla, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Josh Heuston, and Stephen Kalyn, some of whom portray lead characters from other novels within Kennedy's “Off Campus” universe, suggesting a potential “Bridgerton-esque” structure with rotating leads each season. The series has already secured an early renewal for a second season, signaling strong confidence from the platform.

The production features Louisa Levy as co-showrunner and executive producer, alongside Gina Fattore. Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman are also on board as executive producers representing Temple Hill, with Leanna Billings of Billings Productions and Neal Flaherty contributing as executive producers. Fans can mark their calendars for May 13, when Prime Video will release all episodes of the first season of “Off Campus,” offering a full binge-watching experience.

This series, with its blend of athletic intensity and romantic drama, offers a refreshing perspective on the challenges and triumphs of young adults navigating their identities and relationships. It highlights the importance of self-discovery and the strength found in genuine connections, both on and off the ice.
