Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently made a public appearance at a Netflix event for the second season of 'Beef,' seemingly putting to rest ongoing speculation about a possible rift with the streaming platform. The couple joined Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos and ambassador Nicole Avant in Montecito, California, for the celebration. Their presence at such a high-profile event, which also included the cast and creator of the Emmy-winning series, served as a clear message against recent reports of a deteriorating professional relationship with Netflix.

This appearance by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex comes approximately one month after various media outlets suggested that Netflix was distancing itself from the royal couple. Some reports even went as far as to claim that Sarandos, who is a neighbor of the couple in Montecito, had grown weary of their partnership. However, both the royal pair's representatives and Netflix's leadership have consistently refuted these allegations, with a spokesperson for the streaming service previously labeling such claims as "absolutely inaccurate."

Further emphasizing the continued strong ties, Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria addressed the rumors at a recent 'Next on Netflix' presentation. Bajaria urged the public to be skeptical of unverified reports, stating, "I would say don't believe whatever you read. Maybe we should all do a little fact-checking." She affirmed that the relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remains active, with several projects in various stages of development, including movies, a documentary, and television and film initiatives. She also clarified that while deals may change or conclude, this is a normal part of the industry and not indicative of any underlying issues with the couple.

While the couple and Netflix maintain a positive front, it is true that there have been some modifications to their business arrangements over the past year. Notably, Netflix opted out of Meghan Markle's lifestyle brand, Archewell, as a business partner in March. Additionally, their initial comprehensive deal was re-evaluated and restructured into a first-look deal in August 2025. Despite these adjustments, the partnership appears to be thriving in new directions. Last month, it was announced that Archewell Productions would once again collaborate with Netflix to develop a scripted drama centered on polo, following the success of their 2024 documentary series, 'Polo.'

The joint appearance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with Netflix executives and the creative team behind 'Beef' Season 2 signifies their ongoing commitment to their collaborative ventures. This event serves as a powerful testament to their enduring professional connection, aiming to quell persistent rumors and underscore their active involvement in producing engaging content for the global streaming audience.
