The iconic band, The Rolling Stones, is preparing to unveil a fresh collection of songs this July. Whispers began circulating after mysterious posters featuring a group known as 'The Cockroaches' (a moniker with historical significance for the Stones) appeared across London's Camden Town. This was followed by an announcement in The London Times today by journalist Will Hodgkinson, confirming the band's new project. A single, "Rough and Twisted," is slated for release tomorrow, April 11, as an exclusive white-label vinyl. The name of the full album has yet to be disclosed.

Andrew Watt, acclaimed for his production work on the Stones' album 'Hackney Diamonds' and collaborations with artists like Paul McCartney, is at the helm of this new release. Hodgkinson describes "Rough and Twisted" as adhering to the classic Stones formula: a compelling guitar riff, an energetic harmonica solo from Mick Jagger, and an overall carefree vibe. While no concert dates are currently scheduled, the report dispels rumors that this record will be their final one, with indications of at least ten more tracks already in development for future releases.

For those familiar with the band's history, 'The Cockroaches' is a name the Stones adopted during their peak in 1977 for two unannounced performances in Toronto, a period chronicled in Andy Cush's 'Sunday Review of Tattoo You.' These gigs were later featured on the live album 'Love You Live,' and the 'Cockroaches' identity has largely been dormant until now. A newly launched website for 'The Cockroaches' offers minimal details, with a timer set for 1:41 p.m. on April 11, hinting at further revelations. Representatives for The Rolling Stones have been contacted for additional information.

This impending release from The Rolling Stones not only marks another chapter in their illustrious career but also demonstrates their enduring creativity and passion for music. It serves as a powerful reminder that true artistry knows no bounds and continues to inspire across generations, reinforcing the timeless appeal of rock and roll.
