Its primary mission is to identify, develop, and advocate for musicians and composers, while also catalyzing synergistic creative ventures.

Sounds Like Paulin is strategically positioned at the nexus of musical expression, design innovation, and cultural enrichment. It endeavors to extend the fundamental principles of Paulin’s design practice into the auditory domain. The label's inaugural offering will be a compilation album featuring various artists, each drawing inspiration from the extensive body of work and enduring influence of Pierre Paulin, a visionary who revolutionized modern furniture design during the 1960s and 1970s. Through his distinctive sculptural and forward-thinking forms, Paulin seamlessly integrated avant-garde design into everyday living and the echelons of French cultural distinction. His celebrated creations—such as the Mushroom Chair, Orange Slice Chair, Ribbon Chair, and Tongue Chair, alongside the F300 chair, which Gubi reissued last year—embody an organic and inviting aesthetic that Sounds Like Paulin aspires to articulate through sound.

Currently helmed by Alice and Benjamin, the company faithfully continues to produce a curated selection of his pieces, honoring Paulin’s express wishes from 2008—shortly before his passing in 2009—to bring his most inventive designs to fruition.
