The David A. Howe Library is set to become a vibrant hub for music enthusiasts with two special concerts scheduled before the end of May. On May 16, audiences will be treated to an evening with Emma Tyme, a celebrated local singer-songwriter known for her connection to the farming community. Then, on May 30, the library welcomes The Deneckes, a celestial folk duo hailing from Andover, showcasing their latest album "blue & gold." These events are made possible through generous funding from various organizations and promise to bring enriching musical experiences to the public.

On Friday, May 16, the Nancy Howe Auditorium will echo with the melodies of Emma Tyme. With her piano and guitar in hand, this talented artist has been a regular feature at the library over the years. Her songs often draw inspiration from her deep ties to the farming community, resonating with themes that reflect rural life and personal narratives. Attendees can expect an intimate performance that highlights her unique artistry and emotional depth.

Moving forward to May 30, the stage will be graced by The Deneckes, a folk duo renowned for their ethereal sound. Originating from Andover, they released their newest album, "blue & gold," earlier this year. As part of their promotional tour, the couple will bring their harmonious tunes to the David A. Howe Library. Hannah's vocal prowess blends beautifully with Eli's compositions, creating a soundscape that captivates listeners.

Both performances are free and open to the public, thanks to the financial backing from the Statewide Community Regrants Program. This initiative is supported by the New York State Council on the Arts, under the auspices of the Governor's Office and the New York State Legislature. Additionally, the Arts Council for Wyoming County and the Wellsville community have contributed significantly to making these cultural events accessible to all.

Audience members are invited to arrive early, as doors open at 6:30 p.m., with each show commencing promptly at 7 p.m. These evenings promise not only entertainment but also a celebration of diverse musical talents, offering attendees a chance to connect with artists who contribute vibrantly to the cultural landscape of the region.
