On Saturday, May 17, the Cultural Council’s Music in the Hills program will showcase The Meanies, a folk duo renowned for their harmonious performances and engaging presence on stage. The Meanies, inspired by the animated characters from "The Yellow Submarine," have been delighting audiences across New England since 2020. Comprising Dan Zukergood and Julie Schwager, both accomplished vocalists and guitarists, the group has expanded its lineup with Jeff Clark on bass and Daniel Kunstler on violin and mandolin. Together, they create a sound that is richer and more dynamic, blending tight harmonies with diverse song selections.
