Specialty distributor 3388 Films has secured the worldwide distribution rights for "Bunny!!," the latest cinematic achievement from acclaimed Vietnamese director and actor Tran Thanh. This move will bring the record-breaking film to audiences in over a dozen countries in the coming months.

"Bunny!!": A Vietnamese Box Office Phenomenon Takes the Global Stage

Global Premiere Schedule: "Bunny!!" Debuts Across Continents

The international rollout for "Bunny!!" is set to commence with screenings in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia on March 26th. Following swiftly, the film will reach North American and other European markets including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Norway, and Poland on March 27th. French audiences can anticipate its arrival on March 28th, while Mongolia and Taiwan are scheduled for a May 22nd release. Further distribution territories are currently under negotiation, as confirmed at the Hong Kong FilMart.

Tran Thanh's Midas Touch: A Legacy of Box Office Dominance

This acquisition marks a significant moment, bringing one of Asia's most remarkable commercial triumphs to a broader international audience. "Bunny!!" achieved an astounding box office gross exceeding $16 million in Vietnam, solidifying its position as the highest-grossing film of the year in the country and ranking among its top five highest-earning films of all time. This success further cements Tran Thanh's unique standing in Vietnamese cinema; every film he has directed has surpassed VND300 billion (approximately $11.5 million) domestically, an unparalleled accomplishment in the market. Notably, VND100 billion (around $3.8 million) is generally considered a strong local performance. Thanh's directorial efforts now account for five of the ten highest-grossing films in Vietnam's cinematic history.

Defying Conventions: A Dark Thriller's Unexpected Tet Holiday Triumph

What truly distinguishes the success of "Bunny!!" is its bold defiance of the conventional programming for the Tet holiday season, a period when Vietnamese cinemas typically feature lighter, more family-friendly fare. The film is a gripping psychological thriller centered on a renowned relationship advice program host whose meticulously crafted public persona is jeopardized by an encounter with a guest concealing disturbing secrets. This clash leads both characters to profound and devastating discoveries. The ensemble cast includes Tran Thanh, Phao, Lyly, Van Mai Huong, Quoc Anh, Vinh Dam, Phap Kieu, Ali Hoang Duong, Quang Thang, Thanh Lam, BB Tran, Dinh Ngoc Diep, Orange, Gil Le, and Cris Phan.

The Visionary Behind the Release: 3388 Films on "Bunny!!"'s Global Appeal

For Thien A. Pham, the founder of 3388 Films, the film's willingness to challenge seasonal expectations was a crucial factor in its appeal. Pham praised Tran Thanh's courage to take risks, particularly with the unusual Tet holiday release date. He noted that "'Bunny!!' is a dark romance drama, what we might consider counterprogramming; yet it was overwhelmingly embraced by local audiences, and the gamble paid off spectacularly, demonstrating Tran Thanh's uncanny understanding of his audience. At 3388 Films, we champion risk-taking and expanding market boundaries, and we are delighted to continue our productive partnership with the producers to introduce this film to a worldwide audience."

A Legacy of Collaboration: Expanding Vietnamese Cinema's Reach

"Bunny!!" is a collaborative production from Tran Thanh Town, Galaxy Studio, and HKFilm. Its international release is managed by 3388 Films, a distributor known for its success with Vietnamese films, including "Mai," which was the first Vietnamese movie to achieve over $2 million in combined box office revenue across North America and Europ
