Waxahatchee, led by Katie Crutchfield, and MJ Lenderman, two acclaimed musical artists, are set to embark on a joint tour in spring 2026. This collaboration marks a significant moment for fans, as the artists have previously engaged in musical projects together, hinting at a strong creative synergy. Their upcoming tour will see them perform across 18 cities, offering audiences a unique experience with both solo and combined sets.
The tour kicks off on April 13 at Symphony Hall in Atlanta and concludes on May 6 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. Brennan Wedl, a talented singer-songwriter, will be joining them as the opening act. This extensive run promises to showcase the distinct styles of both Waxahatchee and MJ Lenderman while also highlighting their collaborative efforts. Tickets for these highly anticipated shows will be available to the general public starting November 21, with presale options beginning on November 19.
Their collaborative history includes Lenderman's contributions to Waxahatchee's recent album, "Tigers Blood," where he lent his guitar skills and provided backing vocals, notably on the lead single "Right Back to It." Furthermore, Katie Crutchfield, alongside her sister Allison, formed Snocaps with Lenderman and Brad Cook, releasing a self-titled debut album on October 31. This project reunited the Crutchfield sisters musically for the first time since their teenage punk band, P.S. Eliot. Both Waxahatchee and Lenderman have spent the past couple of years actively touring to promote their respective albums, "Tigers Blood" and "Manning Fireworks." Snocaps also has a series of performances scheduled for early December in Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York.
The convergence of these artists on one stage represents a celebration of musical partnership and artistic evolution. It demonstrates the power of collaboration to enrich individual artistry and create new, compelling experiences for audiences. This tour is not just a series of concerts; it is a testament to the vibrant and interconnected nature of contemporary music, inspiring both artists and listeners to explore new creative frontiers and embrace the shared journey of artistic expression.
