London's slowcore ensemble, Deathcrash, is preparing to launch their latest musical endeavor, "Somersaults," marking their third full-length album. This highly anticipated release, scheduled for February 27, continues their collaboration with Untitled (Recs) and builds upon the success of their previous work, "Less," from 2023. To commemorate this milestone, the band will perform a release show in New York City on February 26, offering fans an early listen to their new material.

The creation of "Somersaults" reflects a period of significant personal and artistic growth for the band members. Bassist Patrick Fitzgerald shared insights into the album's thematic underpinnings, noting that the title track, "Somersaults," emerged from a deeply nostalgic and introspective place, signifying a departure from youthful aspirations and embracing maturity. This central theme quickly became emblematic of the entire album's narrative, shaping its lyrical and musical direction.

"Somersaults" features a compelling tracklist of ten songs, including the recently released single "Triumph." The album's offerings are: 01 Somersaults, 02 NYC, 03 CMC, 04 Triumph, 05 Bella, 06 The Things You Did, 07 Wrong to Suffer, 08 Stay Forever, 09 Love for M, 10 Marie’s Last Dance. Accompanying the announcement, the band has also revealed the album's evocative cover art, further enhancing the anticipation for its release.

This new album from Deathcrash represents a profound journey of self-discovery and artistic evolution. It serves as a reminder that music can beautifully articulate the complex process of growing up, confronting change, and finding new meaning in life's transitions. Through their evocative melodies and poignant lyrics, Deathcrash encourages listeners to embrace personal development and the transformative power of experience, fostering a sense of connection and shared humanity.
