Drone-metal stalwarts Sunn O))) are poised to make a significant return with their self-titled album, scheduled for an April 3 release. This album marks their debut with the renowned Seattle-based label Sub Pop, following their signing announcement last fall. The band has also delighted fans by unveiling a comprehensive North American tour. Enthusiasts can now immerse themselves in their new single, "Glory Black," and prepare for a series of captivating live performances across the continent.

This upcoming recording is Sunn O)))'s first major release in seven years, succeeding their critically acclaimed 2019 offerings, Life Metal and Pyroclasts. Core members Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson collaborated with Brad Wood in the album's production. "Glory Black" serves as a compelling preview from the new album. Additionally, the duo previously released three tracks—"Eternity’s Pillars," "Raise the Chalice," and "Reverential"—as part of a 12-inch single.

The band's North American tour is set to launch on April 1 in Phoenix, Arizona, and conclude on April 19 in Omaha, Nebraska. This initial leg promises a series of powerful performances, with further tour dates expected to be announced shortly. Tickets for these eagerly awaited concerts will be available for purchase starting this Friday at 10 a.m. local time, offering fans a chance to witness Sunn O)))'s unique soundscapes live.
