Nebius: Navigating the AI Compute Landscape

Nebius Group N.V. (NBIS) has experienced a notable adjustment in its market valuation, a phenomenon triggered by intense competition within the AI compute sector. Despite this, the company maintains a strong operational base, underscored by 3.5 gigawatts of contracted power and an ambitious goal to reach 4 gigawatts. Even with the heightened competitive landscape, Nebius continues to attract and retain significant customer interest, evidenced by extended contracts and increased prepayments for its GPU services.

Management's steadfast commitment to its financial objectives is clear, as they uphold a target of $7-9 billion in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). This confidence is reinforced by sustained customer demand, with clients actively competing for access to GPUs, renewing long-term agreements, and committing to larger prepayments, even in the face of rising prices. The market's re-evaluation has seen Nebius's valuation multiples contract from a historical range of 11-14 times forward ARR to approximately 8 times, creating a notable discrepancy given the company's more than $46 billion in commitments from major hyperscale clients.

This market adjustment, rather than indicating underlying weakness, appears to reflect a misinterpretation of Nebius's inherent value and future prospects. The strong customer loyalty and willingness to invest further, coupled with the critical role of GPUs in the burgeoning AI landscape, position Nebius for substantial growth. The current valuation suggests a compelling opportunity for investors to consider, as the company's strategic position and ongoing commercial successes are not fully reflected in its present market capitalization.

I project a baseline fair value of approximately $300 by the close of the year. This estimate could rise to $375 if the company continues its strong operational performance and secures additional significant commercial agreements. Investing in forward-thinking enterprises that are integral to technological progress often yields substantial returns. The foundational elements of Nebius's business, combined with the increasing global demand for sophisticated computing infrastructure, establish a solid framework for sustained success and market leadership.

iShares International Select Dividend ETF: Reaching Fair Value After Significant Gains
The iShares International Select Dividend ETF (IDV) has delivered impressive returns, with a 51.69% gain in 2025. However, the fund is now trading near its fair value, with limited upside potential. Its current valuation of 11.7x earnings is influenced by sector and country concentrations, a higher expense ratio, and a lower portfolio quality compared to its peers. While existing investors may benefit from income, new investments face diminished yields. A price target of $44 suggests a "Hold" rating, but a decline to $38 or a weaker USD could enhance its risk/reward profile. Sector and currency risks remain significant.

Avio S.p.A.: A Strategic 'Buy' in European Space and Missile Technology
Avio S.p.A. (AVVSY) has been upgraded to 'Buy' due to its pivotal role in Europe's space and missile sectors. Despite current negative free cash flow and modest margins, its strategic importance warrants a 50% valuation premium. Q1 revenue grew by 19% to €128.5 million, though adjusted EBITDA margins remain at 4.4% due to investments. This speculative 'Buy' is ideal for investors confident in the long-term European space market premium.
