This quarter, U.S. stock markets demonstrated remarkable resilience, achieving double-digit gains despite the uncertainties introduced by the conflict in Iran. The robust performance of corporate earnings, coupled with a persistently strong economic backdrop, played a crucial role in driving this upward trend. Several companies stood out as significant contributors to these positive results, with Rocket Lab, ARM Holdings, and Bloom Energy leading the charge.

Rocket Lab's impressive rally was fueled by record revenue figures, an optimistic future outlook, and a substantial order backlog, further bolstered by growing demand in both launch and space systems, alongside its strategic acquisition of Iridium Communications. ARM Holdings also showed strong positioning for future expansion, driven by its positive revenue projections, increasing demand for AI-driven data centers and CPUs, and the rising adoption of its energy-efficient chip designs in AI infrastructure and server applications.

Amidst these successes, the portfolio also saw strategic new investments in Broadcom (AVGO) and Intel (INTC). Broadcom was added due to its leadership in custom ASIC and networking chips, vital components in the burgeoning AI sector. Intel, on the other hand, was chosen for its significant chip manufacturing capabilities and the promising turnaround potential under its new leadership. However, not all companies shared in this growth, as Advanced Micro Devices, Netflix, and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals faced headwinds, contributing negatively to the overall portfolio performance this quarter.

The current market environment underscores the importance of strategic investment choices and adaptability. Even in the face of geopolitical tensions and mixed individual company performances, a diversified and well-managed portfolio can achieve substantial growth, demonstrating the enduring strength of the market and the potential for innovation to drive progress.
