Travis Scott has addressed the recent accusations leveled against him by Pusha T, specifically denying claims that he intruded upon a studio session involving Pharrell and deliberately held back Drake's lyrical contribution from the esteemed producer.

The controversy first emerged with the release of Clipse's 2025 track "So Be It," where Pusha T's lyrics directly targeted Scott, intensifying an existing rivalry with Drake. In subsequent interviews, Pusha T suggested that Scott unexpectedly appeared at a session he was conducting with Pharrell, ostensibly to present his 2023 album, Utopia. According to Pusha, Scott then conspicuously omitted Drake's verse from the song "Meltdown," a track where Drake reportedly took veiled jabs at Pharrell, a move Pusha interpreted as disingenuous.

In his Rolling Stone feature, Scott dismissed Pusha T's narrative as inaccurate. He recounted his surprise at the allegations, particularly the mention of a film crew, noting that it was Pusha T's camp who had cameras present. Scott clarified that his attendance at the session was at Pharrell's explicit request, not an uninvited intrusion. Furthermore, he explained that Drake's verse for "Meltdown" was simply not completed at the time of his visit, rendering any intentional withholding impossible. Scott expressed his bewilderment at Pusha's statements, finding them illogical given the circumstances.

Scott interprets this episode as indicative of a broader trend within the music industry, where artists navigating diverse creative circles can become targets of suspicion. He emphasized his consistent effort to unite different musical influences, believing that such collaborations yield exceptional results. While Scott typically maintains a neutral stance in industry disputes, Pusha's comments struck him as unexpected. He concluded by suggesting that if his name was invoked to promote Pusha's work, he accepted it as a necessary evil in the promotional cycle.
